Titanium Ore

Titanium Ore is a late-game crafting resource found through treasure, story destinations and Trading Posts.

PC / Global, final release 1.0
WHERE & HOW TO FARM

Where to farm

Buried treasure on large islands and story destinations, including Caravan Town and Tangaroa; Trading Posts and story islands are other recorded sources.

Treasure hunting is a repeatable way to look for Titanium Ore, but buried treasure can contain other rewards. Use a Metal Detector to locate a dig site and a Shovel to uncover it. Story islands and Trading Post purchases are additional possible sources.

GET STARTED

How to farm

Before you go

  • Metal Detector to locate buried treasure.
  • Shovel to dig at the detector signal.
  • Access to an island with searchable treasure locations.
  1. Land on a large island or story destination and carry the detector and Shovel while exploring.
  2. Sweep the detector across searchable ground, watching for its signal to strengthen as you approach a site.
  3. Move carefully around the stronger signal until you identify the dig spot.
  4. Use the Shovel at the signal to uncover the buried chest or other treasure.
  5. Collect the contents and check whether Titanium Ore was among the rewards; treasure contents are not guaranteed to be titanium.
  6. Smelt any Titanium Ore you find into Titanium Ingots for late-game equipment or electronics.
  7. If you already use Trading Posts, inspect their available stock as a separate route to titanium.

Farming tips

  • Search while completing the island’s other objectives so the detector trip also advances exploration.
  • Keep the Shovel equipped only when ready to dig; detector signals guide you to the place to use it.

Repeat, collect and use

Repeat treasure searches on later islands, understanding that each dig may yield different treasure. Trading Post stock provides a separate purchase route when available.

Common mistakes

  • Assuming every buried chest contains Titanium Ore: collect the reward but treat titanium as a possible result.
  • Using the detector without a Shovel: bring both tools to complete the dig.
  • Ignoring other titanium sources: story destinations and Trading Post purchases can supplement treasure.

When to stop or switch

Stop digging when you have enough titanium for the next planned recipe, or switch to island objectives or Trading Post progression if searches are not meeting that need.
