WHERE & HOW TO FARM
Where to farm
Spring farmable fields in the valley; wild crop plants are the discovery source, and Igrork’s Plant Nursery is the later restock point.
Make the first seed of each spring crop count: discover it, plant it while the season is right, and keep a sample harvest before using the rest. Once the Plant Nursery idea is available, discovered seeds become easier to restock.
Handaxe for harvesting wild plants that yield seeds.
A farmable field tile and room in the seed pouch.
Plant Nursery idea if you want to purchase additional discovered seeds.
Check which crops are in season and identify a wild plant that can yield a spring seed.
Harvest the plant and check the seed pouch for the new seed.
Keep the seed in the pouch; select it when standing at a tilled farm tile.
Plant it and water the tile with a Waterskin or Water Bucket.
Check the crop as it grows and harvest when it is ready.
Keep a first sample for a contribution or future use before consuming or selling the rest.
After discovering the crop and unlocking the Plant Nursery, check Igrork’s seasonal stock to expand the planting.
Farming tips
Treat discovery and restocking as separate milestones: Igrork’s seed purchases require both the nursery progression and prior discovery.
Use the crop list’s season and regrowth information to choose how many tiles to plant; a regrowing crop can remain in place for later harvests.
Repeat, collect and use
Wild seed discovery is a limited first-discovery step for each crop. Planting and harvesting can repeat while the crop is in season; after the nursery unlock, discovered seeds can be purchased when in stock.
Common mistakes
Buying a seed before discovering its crop: find and harvest the wild plant first.
Planting without checking the season: choose a crop listed for the current season to avoid wasting a planting opportunity.
Using the only seed immediately: save it until a suitable field tile is ready.
When to stop or switch
Stop expanding the field when you have kept the crop sample you need and enough plants to meet your current contribution or supply goal; switch to another seasonal crop if the season is ending.
