Summer and Fall Crops

Seasonal planting converts discovered seeds into harvests for contributions, requests, and ongoing farm supply.

WHERE & HOW TO FARM

Where to farm

Farmable valley plots during Summer and Fall; wild plants provide discoveries, and Igrork’s Plant Nursery can restock discovered seasonal seeds after its idea is unlocked.

Plan summer and fall crops around the calendar and the seed sources you have actually discovered. Harvest for the immediate goal first, then use spare field space for crops that regrow or support your next season’s supply.

GET STARTED

How to farm

Before you go

  • A farmable plot and seeds for crops that are in season.
  • Handaxe for collecting seed discoveries from wild plants.
  • Plant Nursery idea for buying extra seeds from Igrork.
  • Waterskin or Water Bucket for manual watering; an Olla can support nearby crops.
  1. Choose a target crop and confirm its season, seed source, and whether it regrows in the crop list.
  2. Find and harvest a wild plant if you have not discovered its seed yet.
  3. Prepare a farmable tile, select the seed from the pouch, plant, and water it.
  4. Use Igrork’s seasonal nursery stock to enlarge the patch after the crop is discovered and the idea is available.
  5. Check the plot as crops mature; keep a first harvest for any contribution, request, or collection goal.
  6. Harvest ready crops, leaving regrowing plants in place for another harvest.
  7. Use surplus for your current village need or store it for later processing rather than clearing useful regrowth.

Farming tips

  • An Olla is a finite reservoir: refill it with a Waterskin or Water Bucket, and let rain refill it when it falls.
  • Choose field size from the use you have planned; extra crops are only useful if you have storage or a processing purpose.

Repeat, collect and use

Planting and harvesting repeat during the crop’s season. A crop’s seed discovery is a one-time unlock; nursery purchases depend on the crop being discovered and seasonal stock being available.

Common mistakes

  • Planting a crop outside its season: verify the crop’s season before spending seed.
  • Removing a regrowing plant after its first harvest: leave it in place if you want the next crop cycle.
  • Assuming an Olla will water indefinitely: check and refill its reservoir when needed.

When to stop or switch

Stop planting a crop once you have the quantity needed for contributions, requests, or storage; switch to a crop that is in season or supports a different goal.
