SAM is Strange Alien Matter gathered directly from resource nodes and used by a Constructor to produce Reanimated SAM. The central bottleneck is node access and extraction throughput; the ore itself is the input for that first processing step. The map presents the standard layout, so players using version 1.2 resource or purity randomization should match their world settings when selecting a node.

How to farm

Open the on-page resource map and filter by SAM. Inspect the purity of listed nodes, choose an accessible one, and extract SAM with a Miner. Do not assume a crafted SAM product has its own node.

Before you go

A reachable SAM node and Miner.
Unlock the Reanimated SAM recipe and Constructor if processing the ore.

Open the on-page resource map and filter for SAM.
Review node purity and choose an accessible node.
Place the correct Miner on that node and connect power.
Transport the extracted SAM to storage or processing.
For Reanimated SAM, feed ore to a Constructor using its unlocked recipe.
Send produced Reanimated SAM to SAM Fluctuator or Converter production.

Farming tips

A Constructor at 100% clock consumes 120 SAM and makes 30 Reanimated SAM per minute.
Plan extraction, transport, and ingot production around downstream demand.

Repeat, collect and use

Inspect miner output and delivery as consumers grow; increase the constrained part of the chain when SAM backs up or runs short.

Common mistakes

Searching for Reanimated SAM at a node instead of mining raw SAM.
Choosing a node without checking purity or whether it is accessible.

When to stop or switch

Stop expanding SAM extraction once the planned processing and conversion lines have a dependable feed.
