A maintained plot can produce food repeatedly, but harvesting at the right stage and preserving seed stock are essential to keep the cycle going.

WHERE & HOW TO FARM
Where to farm
A planted Garden Plot in your claimed flag area, where you can inspect individual crops and reach them for care.
Use a planted plot as a recurring production loop. Inspect each crop, correct only the condition it reports, and harvest when ready. Crop yields are not fixed: crop type, care, Farming skill, and server or version settings can affect the result.
Hoe for weeds and the relevant pest or fungus treatment if needed.
Inventory room for produce and any seeds you retain.
Approach the planted plot and inspect crop status with the right-click interaction.
Read the water and sunlight information before changing anything; provide water with a held container and F when the plot indicates it is needed.
Look for weeds, pests, or fungus in the condition display and respond with a hoe, pesticide, or fungicide as appropriate.
Return to inspect the plot as needed rather than assuming every plant needs the same care.
When a plant is ready, use its harvest interaction and collect the produce into your inventory.
Separate useful seeds from food so you can keep the next planting possible.
Replant the cleared space with a suitable seed, then begin the inspection and care cycle again.
Farming tips
Care for the actual condition shown; routine treatment with every tool or chemical is unnecessary.
Keep seed stock separate from food so a successful harvest does not leave you unable to replant.
Repeat, collect and use
This is a repeatable cycle as long as you retain seeds and can maintain the plot. Do not assume every harvest returns seed or a fixed amount of produce.
Common mistakes
Harvesting before the crop is ready can interrupt production; check the plant state first.
Using the wrong treatment does not address the indicated condition; match hoe, pesticide, or fungicide to the problem.
Eating or selling all seeds can end the loop; set aside planting stock before using the harvest.
When to stop or switch
Pause or change crops if repeated inspections show the current site does not suit the plant, or if you already have enough produce and seed for your needs.
