Diagnose a crop’s displayed condition before spending treatment supplies, then handle its separate water or sunlight needs as part of the same care visit.

WHERE & HOW TO FARM
Where to farm
Accessible, planted crop tiles in a Garden Plot inside your claimed flag area.
A crop visit can reveal more than one care concern. First identify the condition the game displays, then use the corresponding tool or treatment: a hoe for weeds, pesticide for pests, and fungicide for fungus. Check water and sunlight separately; treatment for one problem does not resolve the others.
A planted Garden Plot with crop tiles you can inspect.
Hoe for weeds, if indicated.
Pesticide or fungicide for the corresponding displayed problem, if indicated.
Water container for a separate water need.
Approach the planted crop and use the right-click inspection interaction to read its current condition.
Identify whether the display indicates weeds, pests, fungus, a water need, or another concern.
For weeds, use a hoe on the affected crop area as the interaction allows.
For pests, use pesticide; for fungus, use fungicide. Apply only the treatment that matches the displayed problem.
Inspect water status separately and, if needed, hold a water container and use F on the plot; rainfall may also replenish water.
Return for another inspection later and check whether the issue remains before using more treatment.
Continue normal crop care until the plant is ready, then harvest and collect its produce and any available seeds.
Farming tips
Keep pesticide and fungicide distinct in storage so the correct item is easy to select when a problem appears.
A treatment visit is also a useful time to check water and sunlight, since those are separate crop conditions.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat diagnosis during crop-care visits and use treatment only when the corresponding issue is shown. Problems do not follow a guaranteed schedule, and harvest outcome depends on crop care and server settings.
Common mistakes
Using pesticide for fungus or fungicide for pests does not match the reported issue; check the condition before selecting treatment.
Applying several treatments without a diagnosis can waste supplies; address only observed problems.
Treating a visible problem while overlooking water or sunlight leaves other conditions unmanaged; inspect those readings separately.
When to stop or switch
Stop treating once inspection no longer shows the problem. If the crop continues to fare poorly despite appropriate care, reassess the plot and crop choice before investing in more supplies.
