WHERE & HOW TO FARM
Where to farm
Flat ground inside your claimed flag area, with open space around the Garden Plot and access to its crop tiles.
Build a small, accessible plot first. Check the location and seed conditions before investing in a larger garden, then use the plot inspection to guide care. Growth and harvest depend on crop, care, skill, and server settings, so treat the first planting as a working trial.
Hoe and relevant crop treatment supplies for maintenance.
Choose flat ground within your flag radius. Leave room to reach the planted tiles and avoid placing the plot against walls.
Place the Garden Plot blueprint and provide the displayed materials to complete construction.
Plant a seed that suits the site. Keep the initial plot small until you see how it performs under your server's settings.
Right-click the plot or crop to inspect sunlight, water, and plant condition.
Hold a water container and use F on the plot when inspection shows water is needed; rainfall can also replenish it.
Check the plants during visits. Remove weeds with a hoe and use the matching treatment if pests or fungus are indicated.
Harvest mature crops and put the produce to use as food or retain seeds for another planting.
Farming tips
Use the inspection readings to decide whether to water; avoid relying on a fixed watering schedule.
Keep paths clear on more than one side so crop interactions remain reachable.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat the inspection, care, and harvest cycle while you have seeds and a usable plot. Harvest amounts and seed returns can vary with crop, skill, care, and server settings.
Common mistakes
Building against a wall can make crop tiles awkward to reach; leave working space around the plot.
Planting without checking sunlight risks investing in a poor site; inspect conditions before expanding.
Applying treatments without checking plant condition wastes supplies; use only the treatment that matches the observed problem.
When to stop or switch
Stop expanding when the first plot is difficult to keep healthy or its produce exceeds your storage and food needs; improve access or change crop before adding beds.
