Batteries

Batteries power equipment that consumes them and are useful to keep available for exploration and nighttime use.

WHERE & HOW TO FARM

Where to farm

Suitcases, camps, and underground facilities across the island.

Collect batteries while looting containers on established travel routes. They can appear in suitcases, camps, and underground facilities, but the contents are variable. Rather than pursuing a single guaranteed stash, check containers during supply trips and keep a reserve for equipment you expect to use.

GET STARTED

How to farm

Before you go

  • Inventory space for batteries and other supplies.
  • Weapon and healing items when searching hostile camps or facilities.
  1. Search luggage near the crash site as part of your initial supply sweep.
  2. Inspect abandoned camps and other visible container clusters while traveling between objectives.
  3. At cannibal camps, deal with nearby threats before opening containers and gathering supplies.
  4. During cave and bunker trips, check shelves and room containers along the route.
  5. Keep batteries in your inventory rather than discarding them when a powered tool is part of your expedition plan.
  6. Use batteries for gear that requires them and note when your reserve is getting low.
  7. On the next surface or facility run, search additional containers and replenish the reserve.

Farming tips

  • Container contents vary, so gather batteries alongside tape, rope, and other useful loot.
  • Avoid spending the last of your reserve on gear you do not need for the next trip.

Repeat, collect and use

Repeatable through ongoing scavenging, but individual containers are not guaranteed battery sources and should not be treated as renewable deposits.

Common mistakes

  • Expecting a specific suitcase to contain batteries every time; check multiple sites over multiple trips.
  • Ignoring batteries while inventory space is available; they support useful powered equipment.
  • Using the full stock without a plan; preserve a reserve for the next exploration run.

When to stop or switch

Stop a detour when you have enough batteries for planned equipment use, then continue your main objective and gather more on later supply routes.
