WHERE & HOW TO FARM
Where to farm
A Breeding Farm in your base’s livestock area, close enough to the animals you intend it to manage.
A Breeding Farm is the base for recurring livestock production when animals, feed, water and an assigned tribesman are kept available. Place the matching pens or coops within the farm’s working area, stock their displayed feed and water needs, and assign a caretaker through the Breeding Farm. Return to collect the farm’s animal products and check that breeders remain available for the next cycle. Keep breeding animals separate from stock reserved for slaughter or transport, and make room in storage so production does not stop.
Storage space for the output you intend to collect.
Build a Breeding Farm near the pens or coops for the livestock you want to manage.
Place compatible livestock enclosures within the farm’s working area.
Add the animals you intend to keep as breeding stock and confirm the farm recognizes them.
Assign a tribesman to the Breeding Farm and check that the work assignment is active.
Supply the animal feed and water shown by the relevant enclosure or farm interface.
Visit the farm to collect its available products and check for warnings or missing inputs.
Leave breeding animals in place for the next cycle and move only surplus animals to other uses.
Clear storage space and refill feed/water before leaving the base unattended.
Farming tips
The farm’s recurring output depends on feed, water, a caretaker and available animals; check those inputs directly.
Keep breeder stock separate from animals you plan to consume or move.
Repeat, collect and use
This is an ongoing production activity while the Breeding Farm remains staffed and suitable livestock remains available. Breeding stock can be limited if animals are removed or used elsewhere.
Common mistakes
Replacing every animal with slaughter stock: retain breeders so the production cycle can continue.
Assuming a caretaker can compensate for missing feed or water: meet the farm’s displayed needs.
Leaving output storage full: collect products before production stalls.
When to stop or switch
Pause or redirect the farm when you have enough of the desired livestock output, or when you need its worker or space for another task.
