Ore-to-Pixels Refinery Loop

This focused processing loop turns surplus mine output into currency while protecting ores needed for progression.

PC / Global, final release
WHERE & HOW TO FARM

Where to farm

Mine on planets matching the target ore’s threat tier, then process at a Refinery crafted at an Engineer’s Table.

Mining and the Refinery form a two-stage resource loop: first collect ores from a planet where they occur, then convert eligible surplus at a Refinery. The Refinery produces Pixels from most ores and is more efficient than ordinary merchant sale for that purpose, but it consumes the input. Treat recipes and bars as the priority, and convert only what remains after your next crafting goal is covered.

GET STARTED

How to farm

Before you go

  • A mining tool and access to a planet where the chosen ore occurs.
  • Armor and environmental protection suited to that planet.
  • An Engineer’s Table and Titanium Bars to craft a Refinery.
  • Storage space to separate recipe ore from surplus.
  1. Pick an ore that is useful to your current gear tier and select a matching-threat planet from the navigation console.
  2. Mine veins in caves or underground layers, keeping the target ore separate from incidental materials where practical.
  3. Return to the ship or base when inventory fills, then sort the haul into crafting reserve and genuine surplus.
  4. Smelt ore needed for bars at a suitable Furnace before deciding what can safely be sold as currency.
  5. Place surplus eligible ore into the Refinery and collect the resulting Pixels from its output.
  6. Use the Pixels for the purchase or expense you planned, then record which ore reserve must remain untouched.
  7. Repeat mining when more currency is needed, selecting a new matching planet when accessible deposits run low.

Farming tips

  • Refinery conversion is based on ore; it is not a replacement for smelting bars needed by recipes.
  • Do not load Solarium Stars into the plan: the Refinery cannot process them.

Repeat, collect and use

This is a repeatable currency farm only while you have ore to consume. Each Refinery batch permanently uses the ore, so mine more or stop when the reserve is needed for crafting.

Common mistakes

  • Refining all collected ore before checking recipes; reserve progression materials first.
  • Using the Refinery instead of a Furnace to make bars; process crafting ore appropriately.
  • Searching for a target ore on the wrong threat tier; filter planets by the ore’s availability.

When to stop or switch

Stop as soon as you have the Pixels needed or the remaining ore is earmarked for bars and crafting; resume only with fresh surplus.
