Revisit core locations in New Game Plus

New Game+ offers another chance to collect missed fixed cores because collectible locations reset for the new run.

PC / Global; base game with available story content
WHERE & HOW TO FARM

Where to farm

Previously explored routes across Eidos 7, Wasteland, Matrix 11, Great Desert, and other regions containing missed core markers.

Use New Game+ as a cleanup pass for Body Cores and Beta Cores missed in the first playthrough. The locations reset, so the same route can yield the collectible again in the new run; this is not an infinite farm within one playthrough. Story gates and traversal abilities still matter, so plan around the point at which each region becomes accessible. Core pickups enhance their corresponding permanent stat systems, but revisiting a location does not create an extra upgrade-cap increase beyond the game’s limits.

GET STARTED

How to farm

Before you go

  • Complete a playthrough and begin New Game+.
  • Unlock each region and any required traversal ability again.
  • Know which Body Core or Beta Core markers were missed in the earlier run.
  1. Start New Game+ and maintain a short list of the core markers you left uncollected in the previous run.
  2. When a target region becomes available, open its checklist and travel to the missed marker.
  3. Use the drone scanner to locate fallen Angel bodies for Body Cores in open terrain.
  4. For Beta Cores, follow the specific route and confirm gates such as Double Jump or the Flood Control Station are available.
  5. Collect the core from the corpse and mark it complete in the new-run checklist.
  6. Spend Body Cores toward HP progression and Beta Cores toward Beta Energy enhancement when convenient.
  7. Before leaving a one-time story area, review its remaining markers so cleanup does not require another run.

Farming tips

  • Keep the New Game+ list limited to missed items; this reduces time spent revisiting already collected routes.
  • Remember that Matrix 11 and Spire 4 are story areas, so clear their markers before advancing past them.

Repeat, collect and use

New Game+ restores core collectibles for a fresh collection pass. Each location remains one-time within that run; revisits in the same playthrough do not respawn cores.

Common mistakes

  • Expecting same-run respawns: the reset happens in New Game+, not by leaving and re-entering an area.
  • Ignoring traversal gates in the new run: unlock the needed ability or story mechanism before attempting the route.
  • Assuming a core automatically raises a stat without collection: loot the body and use the proper enhancement system where applicable.

When to stop or switch

Stop once the missed cores are collected or the relevant stat cap is reached; switch to other New Game+ objectives afterward.
