WHERE & HOW TO FARM
Where to farm
Equipment menus at a cube, using affinity-bearing mission drops for your active jobs.
Equipment can carry affinity for particular jobs, so collecting and comparing drops is part of building a coherent job setup. The useful farming loop is to run a mission that suits your current level, inspect the affinity on new pieces, then equip items that advance the job without making the character too fragile. There is no need to chase a precise percentage unless you have a particular target in mind.
Collect equipment with job affinity from missions.
Use a mission suitable for the current gear so replacing pieces does not risk an unsafe run.
At a cube, open the equipment screen and identify the affinity totals for your active jobs.
Inspect each candidate drop for its job affinity and equipment level.
Compare the full loadout rather than evaluating a piece in isolation.
Equip matching-affinity pieces that preserve useful defense and weapon options.
Choose a manageable mission and use the intended job during the clear.
After the run, check whether drops improve affinity or practical survivability.
Keep or replace pieces based on the build goal, then repeat if more matching gear is needed.
Farming tips
A higher affinity total is useful only if the resulting loadout still handles the mission.
Keep a spare practical setup for encounters where an affinity-heavy choice makes survival difficult.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat suitable missions for ordinary equipment drops with affinity. Any first-clear mission reward is limited; the gear comparison and drop loop can continue.
Common mistakes
Equipping every matching-affinity piece without checking defenses; balance the set for the mission.
Replacing useful gear for a tiny affinity gain that makes combat harder; compare the entire build.
Assuming affinity drops are guaranteed; select missions for their actual listed rewards and evaluate drops as they come.
When to stop or switch
Stop changing pieces once the target job setup is effective and further affinity gains would weaken the loadout. Return to this loop when a new job becomes a priority.
