WHERE & HOW TO FARM
Where to farm
Chaos-difficulty main and side missions on the world map, unlocked after the main story.
Anima Crystals are the main currency for advancing the base game’s Chaos mission board. The dependable loop is to clear an available mission, claim its listed clear reward, then spend crystals on a mission level you can handle. This guide covers base-game Chaos progression; DLC missions have separate access requirements.
Complete the main story and unlock Chaos difficulty.
Select a Chaos mission whose displayed level is within reach.
Check the mission reward panel for Anima Crystals before committing.
Open the world map after the story and switch to Chaos difficulty.
Choose an available main or side mission and inspect its level and reward panel.
Select a route you can clear consistently; do not raise its level just to chase a larger payout.
Complete the mission objectives and finish the stage.
Claim the clear rewards and confirm the crystal total has increased.
Return to mission selection and spend crystals to unlock or raise a target mission level.
Check the new mission’s level and rewards before starting the next run.
Farming tips
A savepoint cube is a checkpoint; Chaos Anima Crystals come from mission clear rewards.
Side missions can be useful crystal runs too, provided their level and objectives suit your build.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat any available Chaos mission with a displayed crystal clear reward. The crystal payout is tied to mission clears; first-clear bonuses are separate and do not recur.
Common mistakes
Assuming cubes award Anima Crystals; finish the mission and claim its clear reward instead.
Confusing Anima Shards with Anima Crystals; check the resource name before planning a purchase.
Raising a mission level beyond your gear; use a lower, reliable crystal route until you are stronger.
When to stop or switch
Stop the run when you have enough crystals for the next useful unlock or level increase, or switch to gear farming if the current route is no longer reliable.
