Where to farm
Wild Blood Kelp Zone for the starter Blood Oil; cultivate in an Exterior Growbed with vertical room at base.
Bloodvines grow from Blood Oil and can produce additional Blood Oil. The useful farm begins with a wild Blood Oil pickup in the Blood Kelp Zone, then moves the planting step to a safe exterior planter. Bloodvines need vertical room to mature, so plan the planter location before making a deep trip for the starter item.
Vehicle or oxygen capacity suited to the Blood Kelp route.
Storage space for starter and harvested oil.
Travel to the Blood Kelp Zone with sufficient depth and oxygen range for the chosen area.
Locate Blood Oil among the Bloodvines and collect a starter piece.
Return to base without delaying in the deep zone once you have the planting supply.
Place the Blood Oil in an Exterior Growbed where the vine has vertical space to develop.
Allow the Bloodvine to grow before expecting it to produce harvestable material.
Collect Blood Oil from the mature vine for the fabrication chain that uses it.
Keep the vine growing and return to harvest again when you need more.
Farming tips
Use the starter pickup to establish the farm close to home, reducing repeat deep-zone exposure.
Leave open vertical room around the crop so the Bloodvine can mature.
Repeat, collect and use
After establishing the plant, harvest Blood Oil repeatedly from the base crop. The initial wild pickup is a limited starter, not an ongoing farm by itself.
Common mistakes
Making repeated deep trips without planting the first oil: use a starter piece to establish the base crop.
Planting where the vine lacks clearance: leave vertical room in the exterior bed.
Harvesting before the crop matures: wait until the vine is grown enough to provide output.
When to stop or switch
End wild collection once the planter is established; return to the crop whenever the crafting chain needs more Blood Oil.
