Where to farm
Jellyshroom Cave floor beneath the Grassy Plateaus; later options include Mushroom Forest and deeper biomes.
Lithium is a loose pickup in several biomes, including the Jellyshroom Cave and Mushroom Forest. Large deposits are a later bulk source that requires the Prawn Suit Drill Arm. This route prioritizes loose ore so you can collect it with early equipment, then mark any drillable nodes for a return trip.
Seaglide and sufficient oxygen, or a Seamoth rated for the chosen depth.
Light source to inspect cave floors and ledges.
Prawn Suit with Drill Arm only if you plan to mine large deposits.
Locate a Jellyshroom Cave sinkhole in the Grassy Plateaus and descend carefully, keeping the opening in sight.
Sweep the cave floor and ledges around the mushroom caps for loose Lithium.
Pick up exposed pieces directly; no drill is needed for loose ore.
Check cave branches as you make a loop, watching depth and oxygen rather than pushing into an unfamiliar passage.
Mark any large Lithium deposits you find, then leave them until you have a Prawn Suit Drill Arm.
On a later trip, use the Prawn to drill marked deposits and collect the output.
If the cave is not convenient, check the Mushroom Forest seabed for loose Lithium on a separate run.
Farming tips
Use a beacon at the entrance if the mushroom formations make the return route hard to recognize.
Bring home loose Lithium first; a drill is useful for bulk deposits, not required for individual pieces.
Repeat, collect and use
Loose pickups can be gathered on repeated expeditions; large deposits are a limited deposit source. Revisit other biomes or marked deposits when you need more.
Common mistakes
Going deep without oxygen margin: keep the entrance or vehicle close and turn back early.
Trying to drill a loose piece: pick it up by hand; reserve the Drill Arm for large deposits.
Treating one sweep as renewable: gather only what is present, then check another biome or return to marked deposits.
When to stop or switch
Leave once you have the amount needed for the current fabrication and have marked any drillable deposits for a properly equipped return.
