WHERE & HOW TO FARM Where to farm A base exposed to rain, with collectors placed where they can gather it; freshwater sources are a fallback for boiling.
Use a Water Collector at camp to gather rain, then refill a waterskin or other suitable container for trips. If you must drink from an unsafe pond, boil the water with a fire and pot first. A collector supports a repeatable base supply, while a filled travel container makes the output useful away from camp.
Before you go A Water Collector built with a Turtle Shell and four sticks. A waterskin or old pot for carrying water. A fire and cooking pot if boiling unsafe pond water. Build a Water Collector near camp using its required materials. Leave it exposed so rain can collect in the basin. After rain, take water from the collector using a waterskin or old pot. Refill the container before departing for a cave or surface expedition. If collecting from an unsafe pond instead, bring the water to a fire and boil it in a pot before drinking. Return to camp and replenish travel containers from the collector after it has gathered water. Farming tips Place the collector where you will naturally pass it when preparing to leave camp. Carry a filled waterskin rather than relying on a nearby pond during a cave run. Repeat, collect and use Repeatable when rain refills the collector; it is not an instant or guaranteed supply during dry periods.
Common mistakes Leaving camp with an empty travel container: check the collector during departure prep. Drinking unsafe pond water without boiling: process it first when using that fallback. Building where you forget to check: place the collector close to routine camp traffic. When to stop or switch Stop water gathering when your travel container is filled and the base has enough reserve for the next outing.
