Medicine is a compact healing reserve for cave encounters and other dangerous trips.
PC / Global, final release
WHERE & HOW TO FARM
Where to farm
Suitcases near the plane crash and surface supply areas, plus cave supply caches encountered on expeditions.
Search unopened luggage and cave supply containers during routes you already plan to take. Suitcase contents include random items, so medicine is not guaranteed at any one container. Keep pills for situations where health needs recovery, and treat every cache as a chance to add to a limited reserve rather than a reliable refill point.
Search suitcases around the plane crash and nearby surface supply areas.
Open each case and check its contents, remembering that the other item is random.
Collect medicine when it appears and leave room for useful incidental materials.
On a cave trip, inspect supply crates and medicine boxes along the route.
Store pills in inventory instead of using them while your health is already safe.
Before another expedition, check your medicine reserve and include a luggage or cave-supply stop if you need more.
Farming tips
Combine medicine searches with another objective so a limited cache route still advances your trip.
Do not count a container as a guaranteed medicine source; assess what you actually collect.
Repeat, collect and use
Looting opened suitcases is limited because cases do not replenish. Further medicine collection depends on other unsearched containers and available cave supplies.
Common mistakes
Expecting each suitcase to contain pills: check other containers and adjust based on actual loot.
Spending medicine at full health: preserve it for damage recovery.
Entering caves solely for a speculative medicine refill: prepare for the full cave route and its hazards.
When to stop or switch
Stop when you have a reasonable healing reserve for the planned expedition or have exhausted the containers on that route.
