A Water Collector provides a passive clean-water reserve at camp that you can collect and use to refill travel containers after rain.

Set up a Water Collector where rain can reach it, then make it part of your return-to-base routine. The collector gathers rainwater for clean water; it does not provide a guaranteed refill on demand, so keep a waterskin or old pot available to take the stored water with you. This is a camp supply loop for maintaining a reserve between trips, rather than a way to obtain water while away from base.
Repeat the check-and-collect loop whenever rain has gathered water. Collection depends on rain, so this is a renewable camp reserve but not an immediate or guaranteed refill.
Stop collecting when your travel container is full or you have enough water for the planned trip; check again after returning and after further rain.
