WHERE & HOW TO FARM
Where to farm
Inside a base, using a basic Food Grower unlocked at 12.00 ppt Oxygen.
A basic Food Grower converts a planted food seed into a crop, then returns one seed when harvested. That return sustains the same planting but does not multiply your seed stock. Build the grower after its Oxygen unlock, plant a food seed, and collect the harvest when ready. The crop supplies food while the seed can be replanted for another cycle.
Build a Food Grower and provide its required power.
Have one food seed, rather than a flower or plant seed.
Reach the 12.00 ppt Oxygen unlock and build a basic Food Grower.
Place a food seed in the grower’s input.
Allow the crop to grow until the machine indicates it is ready.
Collect the food from the grower.
Recover the returned seed and place it back inside if you want another crop cycle.
Store extra seeds separately so you can start additional growers later.
Farming tips
Harvest returns one seed, so each grower can maintain one planting but will not expand the seed supply by itself.
If a crop is fully grown, remove it to recover its seed before changing to a different planted seed.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat by harvesting and replanting the returned seed. This is an ongoing crop loop once seeded; expansion to more growers requires additional seeds.
Common mistakes
Planting a non-food seed: use a food seed intended for the Food Grower.
Assuming harvest increases seed count: keep the returned seed in the grower or storage.
Leaving a ready crop uncollected when you want to change seeds: collect it and recover the seed first.
When to stop or switch
Continue while you need food from this crop. Add another grower only when you have another seed and enough power; switch to T2 if growth speed becomes a bottleneck.
