WHERE & HOW TO FARM
Where to farm
A Drone-enabled base on Prime with Outdoor Farms and storage lockers configured to request crops.
Outdoor Farms can supply Drone logistics when a storage locker requests the crop currently growing in the farm. Set up the matching demand before adding farms for surplus production; otherwise, output may clog or be lost. This method connects farm production to requested storage. It does not depend on a fixed crop recipe or a particular locker layout: match the request to the crop shown in the farm, then check that logistics is receiving it. Store the vegetables for food or keep them available for your production needs.
An Outdoor Farm with a vegetable seed planted and a current crop to harvest.
A storage locker set to demand that crop.
Available power and storage capacity for the farm and logistics setup.
Build or use an Outdoor Farm and plant the vegetable seed you want to produce.
Check the farm to identify the crop it currently contains.
Configure a storage locker to demand that same crop before building farms for surplus output.
Confirm the locker can accept more of the requested crop and that the Drone system is available.
Let the Outdoor Farm produce its harvest while the matching demand remains active.
Check the locker and farm inventories to confirm crops are reaching storage and the farm can continue producing.
Use stored vegetables as food or retain them for your base’s needs; update the locker demand if you change the farm crop.
Farming tips
Create a separate matching demand for each crop you intend to collect; a request for a different crop will not serve the farm’s current output.
Start with a modest number of farms and check storage and farm inventories before expanding production.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat by keeping a matching crop demand active, allowing the farm to produce, and using or clearing the vegetables in storage. This is a renewable production loop while seeds, power, and storage capacity remain available.
Common mistakes
Building surplus farms before setting crop demand: configure a matching locker first, since unrequested output can clog or disappear.
Requesting the wrong crop: compare the locker request with the crop currently shown in the farm and correct the demand.
Letting storage fill: collect or use stored vegetables and restore capacity so logistics can keep accepting harvests.
When to stop or switch
Pause or reduce farm production when the requested lockers are full, you have enough vegetables, or you cannot maintain the matching demand and storage capacity.
