Upgrade production with Food Grower T2

Reduce crop waiting time at the cost of a higher power draw.

WHERE & HOW TO FARM

Where to farm

At a base, after Food Grower T2 becomes available through Biomass progression.

Food Grower T2 grows crops faster than the basic model, but uses twice its power. It is a progression upgrade for an established food line, not a way to create extra seeds. Each harvest returns one seed, so keep a seed available for every grower you want to keep planted and make sure your power supply can handle the upgrade.

GET STARTED

How to farm

Before you go

  • Progress the Biomass tech tree until Food Grower T2 unlocks.
  • Have a T2 grower and a food seed.
  • Provide twice the power required by the basic Food Grower, as described in the farming guide.
  1. Advance Biomass progression until the T2 grower appears in the build options.
  2. Check that your power budget can support its higher draw.
  3. Build the T2 Food Grower at your base.
  4. Insert a food seed into the grower.
  5. Wait for the faster growth cycle and collect the food when ready.
  6. Recover and replant the returned seed to continue production.

Farming tips

  • Harvest returns one seed; plan extra growers around seeds you actually possess.
  • Compare power capacity before replacing or adding growers, since T2 uses twice the basic grower’s power.

Repeat, collect and use

Repeat the harvest and replant loop indefinitely while powered and seeded. The crop does not generate additional seeds beyond the one returned per harvest.

Common mistakes

  • Building several T2 growers without checking power: expand your power supply first if necessary.
  • Expecting faster growth to multiply seeds: it improves growth speed, not the seed return.
  • Using a plant seed: insert a food seed intended for the grower.

When to stop or switch

Upgrade when waiting on food is a recurring problem and your power budget can support T2; keep the basic grower if speed is adequate or power is tight.
