Where to farm

Great Forge, unlocked through Cory Ironbender and reached through Palstrang; spend Spirits with Cory.

Reapersmith Spirits are earned through Great Forge challenges and can fund Reaper Affinity, Rune upgrades, and Reaper forging. Spirits are guaranteed when you claim the War Chest or die in the Forge, so claiming is not the only way a run can end with this currency. Each Reapersmith has a Spirit type; the update describes a bonus for the Reapersmith that matches your currently equipped Reaper. That bonus does not mean every Spirit goal receives the same matching benefit. Choose your Reaper before entering if you want its associated bonus, then inspect the challenge options and bank the chest when ready to end the run.

How to farm

Before you go

Unlock the Great Forge through Cory Ironbender.
Choose an unlocked Reaper and equip it before entering if pursuing its matching Reapersmith bonus.
Decide whether your Spirits are for Affinity, Runes, or forging.

Select the Reaper whose associated Reapersmith Spirit you want to emphasize.
Travel through Palstrang to the Great Forge.
Clear a wave and inspect the challenge options for Spirit rewards.
Choose a Spirit reward when offered and useful to your goal.
Continue through waves while the build remains capable of surviving.
Claim the War Chest to end the run, or receive the guaranteed Spirits if the run ends in death.
Visit Cory Ironbender and spend the Spirits on the intended Reaper progression.

Farming tips

The matching bonus applies to the Reapersmith of the equipped Reaper; check which Spirit type is tied to it.
Claiming the War Chest ends the run, while death also guarantees Spirits.

Repeat, collect and use

Repeatable through Great Forge runs. Spirits are guaranteed on death or chest claim, but the chosen challenge rewards and matching type can vary.

Common mistakes

Assuming any equipped Reaper boosts every Spirit type overstates the matching bonus; pair the Reaper with its own Reapersmith.
Expecting to keep pushing after claiming ignores that the chest ends the run; claim only when ready to bank.
Splitting Spirit spending across unrelated upgrades can delay the intended goal; check costs at Cory first.

When to stop or switch

Stop when the intended Affinity, Rune, or forging need is covered, or claim the chest when the next wave’s risk outweighs its potential reward.
