Where to farm

Great Forge challenge choices between waves and the War Chest claim point.

Great Forge challenges present different rewards as you clear waves. Some options can add Reapersmith Spirits, increase Goldus quantity, improve equipment quality, or otherwise change the War Chest. These are choices offered by individual challenges, not a guarantee that every card directly sets chest output. Decide on a priority before starting, then inspect each card’s effect and choose from the options available. Continue while your build can manage the pressure. When you claim the War Chest, the expedition ends, so reward selection and the decision to bank are linked.

How to farm

Before you go

Unlock the Great Forge through Cory Ironbender and travel there through Palstrang.
Select one main War Chest goal, such as Goldus, equipment quality, or Spirits.
Bring a build that can survive the challenges you choose.

Enter the Forge and clear the first wave.
Read the challenge descriptions and identify their actual reward effects.
Choose an offered challenge that supports your selected chest goal.
Clear the next wave and review the new options rather than relying on a fixed sequence.
Assess your build and accumulated chest before taking another challenge.
Claim the War Chest between waves when you are ready to end the run.
Use the collected reward for the purchase, equipment, or Reaper progression you planned.

Farming tips

A challenge can award Spirits or affect loot quality or Goldus; read its full description to understand which.
Goldus Find does not work in the Forge, so choose an explicit Forge reward when pursuing Goldus.

Repeat, collect and use

Repeatable. Challenge options and chest contents depend on the run; every chest claim ends that expedition.

Common mistakes

Treating every challenge as a direct War Chest modifier can misread Spirit rewards; follow the card’s stated effect.
Following a fixed reward order ignores changing options; choose from the cards actually presented.
Relying on Goldus Find in the Forge will not improve Forge Goldus; select a Forge-specific reward instead.

When to stop or switch

Claim the chest when it meets your current goal or the next wave threatens a loss that outweighs a further reward.
