Where to farm

A Mapworks level that displays an area quest marker after entry.

Some Mapworks levels may present an area quest, giving a reason to complete the level beyond reaching its boss. Fame can also come from champion and boss kills and most quest completions, so an area objective can pair with the ordinary combat route. The objective is conditional: check the level after entering and follow its actual marker. Do not assume every portal has an area quest or that unrelated kills complete one. Treat the run as a combined quest and loot trip, then inspect Fame progression after turning the activity in or completing its objective.

How to farm

Before you go

Unlock Mapworks Portals during campaign progression.
Enter a Mapworks level and check whether an area quest is available.
Be equipped to clear the level’s enemies and boss safely.

Enter the Mapworks portal and open the map or objective display.
Look for an area quest marker or named objective on the current level.
If present, follow its stated target and defeat the required enemies or complete its task.
Clear champions and bosses along the route for their own Fame and loot opportunities.
Reach the level’s boss and complete the dungeon route.
Check quest and Fame progression afterward, then select another Mapworks level if appropriate.

Farming tips

If the map has no area quest marker, treat it as a normal boss and loot run instead of searching for an absent objective.
Complete the explicit quest target; generic kills may not satisfy its condition.

Repeat, collect and use

Repeat when a Mapworks level offers an area quest; quest availability can vary by level, and Fame is earned through qualifying activities.

Common mistakes

Assuming every Mapworks level has a quest: verify the objective on entry.
Skipping the named target to rush the boss: complete the objective if Fame progress is your aim.
Counting ordinary nearby kills as quest completion: track the displayed requirement.

When to stop or switch

Stop quest-focused runs when no area quest is available or your Fame goal is met; continue for boss loot or return to Contracts for their distinct rewards.
