WHERE & HOW TO FARM
Where to farm
Agony Wave in Saluto, unlocked after Act 13 and the Unidentified Phenomenon quest.
Agony Wave is a defense activity in Saluto that can run for as many as 100 waves. Defeat ordinary monsters to fill the gauge and summon a wave boss; defeating the required bosses advances you. Each wave ends with three paired Blessing and Curse choices, so weigh the helpful effect against its drawback. Bosses award Agony Shards, which you spend on final reward chests after the run ends. Spica Essence and Casthor Essence are among the season rewards named for Agony Wave, but chest contents and quantities should be checked in the current activity interface.
Complete Act 13 and the Unidentified Phenomenon quest.
Obtain an Agony Key from a Chaos Dungeon boss.
Have a build able to handle timed waves and bosses.
Make room for Agony Shards and claimed rewards.
Travel to Saluto and open Agony Wave after confirming you have an Agony Key.
Enter and defeat ordinary monsters to fill the gauge that summons a wave boss.
Defeat the boss; continue managing ordinary monsters while watching the activity timer.
After each wave, compare the three paired Blessing and Curse options and choose the tradeoff your build can manage.
Use available rerolls or option blocks selectively if the offered choices would undermine the run.
Continue until you clear the waves you can handle or the activity ends.
At Agony Terminus, review the available chests, spend your Agony Shards on a chest, and claim its contents.
Farming tips
The official activity description says ordinary monsters do not provide separate default rewards; boss defeats provide Agony Shards.
A boss defeated before the wave timer expires can advance the activity without waiting out the remaining time.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeatable with Agony Keys. Agony Wave supports up to 100 waves, but do not assume you need to reach the cap to receive a reward; the run ends on failure or completion and chest access follows the battle.
Common mistakes
Fighting ordinary monsters while expecting direct loot: prioritize filling the gauge and defeating bosses for Shards.
Taking a Blessing without considering its paired Curse: evaluate the full option before accepting.
Leaving Agony Terminus without spending Shards: choose and open a reward chest there.
When to stop or switch
Stop when the run ends or when your build can no longer continue; claim the best chest available with your Shards before leaving the reward area.
