The current item name is Vineberry Cluster; Ashvine is the plant that bears it. Wild Ashvine grows on Charred ruins in the Ashlands. Harvest the fruit while leaving the plant intact so it can regrow. You can also gather Vineberry Seeds and cultivate Ashvine with a Cultivator and wall support, allowing you to establish a harvest outside the Ashlands. Ashvine’s heat tolerance applies to the plant only; it does not protect your character from heat or other Ashlands hazards.

GET STARTED

How to farm

Look for wild Ashvine on Charred ruins in the Ashlands, or plant Vineberry Seeds with a Cultivator and wall support. Ashvine can be cultivated in several biomes, including the Meadows, Swamp, Black Forest, Plains, Ashlands, Ocean and Mistlands.

Before you go

  • For wild gathering: access to the Ashlands, suitable survival gear, and inventory space.
  • For cultivation: Vineberry Seeds, a Cultivator, and wall support for the planted Ashvine.
  • A safe way to carry and store harvested clusters.
  1. Prepare for Ashlands hazards if you plan to find wild plants; the plant’s heat tolerance does not shield you.
  2. Search Charred ruins for wild Ashvine and note the locations of ready plants.
  3. Approach when the area is safe, then harvest the Vineberry Clusters while leaving each plant intact.
  4. If you find Vineberry Seeds, bring them to a planting area and use a Cultivator to establish Ashvine with wall support.
  5. Check your planted or marked wild plants later and harvest again when fruit is available.
  6. Carry the clusters to storage or keep them for your intended use.

Farming tips

  • Mark productive wild patches so you can return without searching again.
  • Cultivating Ashvine gives you a harvest option outside the Ashlands; provide the required wall support.
  • Collect seeds when available if you want to expand your planted supply.

Repeat, collect and use

Harvest ripe clusters from wild or cultivated Ashvine, leave the plant intact, and revisit it after regrowth. No fixed harvest interval is assumed.

Common mistakes

  • Calling the item “Ashvine Berry”; the current item name is Vineberry Cluster.
  • Assuming heat-tolerant Ashvine makes the player immune to heat or Ashlands threats.
  • Destroying or removing a plant when you want it to regrow, or trying to cultivate without wall support.

When to stop or switch

Stop when you have enough clusters for your current needs or the area becomes unsafe; return to the same plants when you want another harvest.
