WHERE & HOW TO FARM
Where to farm
Garden Beds aboard the train; strange seeds are obtained from small void fish and other seed sources encountered in progression.
Strange seeds belong in the same train garden system as regular seeds, but they produce specialty crops such as mushrooms and unusual flora. Keep them separate from food-organic seeds, check the resulting crop’s recipe uses, and use compost where seed preservation matters.
Compost from a Rofleemo Toilet if you need guaranteed seed return.
Collect strange seeds from small fish or other available seed sources, keeping them separate in storage.
Plant a strange seed in an empty Garden Bed slot.
Water the bed and track the visible crop growth stage.
Apply compost if available and you want the planted seed returned at full harvest.
Wait for the crop to fully mature, then harvest the specialty plant.
Check which recipe uses the harvested plant before cooking or feeding it.
Keep the returned seed for another crop or reserve it for a different garden slot.
Farming tips
Do not mix up strange seeds and regular organic seeds when planning meals.
Mushrooms can be relevant to Rofleemo feeding and rewards; keep a small stock if you use that system.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat while strange seeds and bed space are available; compost guarantees seed return on fully grown harvests, while crops are still the harvest output.
Common mistakes
Planting the only strange seed without compost when you need to preserve it; acquire compost first or accept possible seed loss.
Using specialty crops as ordinary organics without checking recipe needs; reserve them for their supported uses.
Treating seed drops as guaranteed from each fish; collect from multiple supported sources if stock is low.
When to stop or switch
Stop specialty planting when the recipes or Rofleemo feeding needs you are targeting have enough crop stock.
