Budget Eridium for Weekly Big Encore challenges
Eridium pays for weekly Big Encore challenges, which offer tougher boss fights and rarer loot. Regular boss rematches use cash, so choose the machine activity that matches your target and budget.
PC / Global, current through weekly rotation October 22–29, 2026
WHERE & HOW TO FARM
Where to farm
The Weekly Big Encore boss arena shown on the ECHO Map, at Moxxi’s machine near the arena.
Reserve Eridium for the weekly Big Encore activity when you want its featured boss and enhanced loot opportunity. The endgame guide distinguishes that weekly challenge from regular Moxxi’s Big Encore rematches, which charge cash. The recorded Eridium guide lists 100 Eridium as a reference entry cost; check the machine’s current price because costs may change.
Unlock the featured boss’s arena through its relevant mission.
Have Eridium for the displayed weekly challenge fee; regular rematches require cash instead.
Have access to endgame Eridium sources such as UVH1 Vile Bounties if you need to replenish.
Open the ECHO Map and identify the Weekly Big Encore boss.
Confirm the boss matches your loot goal and that its arena is unlocked.
Travel to its arena and find Moxxi’s Big Encore machine.
Read the activity name and displayed currency cost before starting.
For the weekly challenge, pay the Eridium fee and defeat the tougher boss.
Collect and inspect the loot, then decide whether another attempt is worth the cost.
If your Eridium reserve is low, complete available purple Vile Bounty contracts before returning.
Farming tips
Treat the listed 100 Eridium as a historical reference, not a fixed price; use the machine’s displayed fee.
Save Eridium for the weekly challenge when that featured boss is useful to you; choose a regular cash rematch if you only need an unlocked boss retry.
Repeat, collect and use
The weekly Big Encore can be repeated while it remains active and you can pay its displayed Eridium fee. The weekly target rotates. Regular Moxxi rematches are a separate cash-paid activity.
Common mistakes
Paying cash or Eridium without checking which rematch is selected: verify the activity name and fee at the machine.
Assuming every Big Encore attempt costs Eridium: regular rematches use cash; the weekly challenge uses Eridium.
Spending on a featured boss unrelated to your goal: check the ECHO Map before traveling and paying.
When to stop or switch
Stop when you get the drop you want, reach your Eridium budget, or the weekly boss changes. For another unlocked boss, consider its regular cash rematch.
