WHERE & HOW TO FARM
Where to farm
Missions > Challenges > Ultimate Vault Hunter; the map shows required bosses and Wildcard activities.
After the campaign, track UVH rank objectives from Missions > Challenges > Ultimate Vault Hunter. Each rank lists required boss challenges and a guaranteed Wildcard mission. Complete the specified work at the required rank rather than treating every boss as a valid substitute. Vault clears at UVH Rank 4 are part of the route to Rank 5.
Unlock Ultimate Vault Hunter Mode and the rank challenges.
Have a build capable of the current rank’s enemy difficulty.
Open Missions, choose Challenges and select Ultimate Vault Hunter.
Read the current rank’s objective list, including required bosses and difficulty rank.
Set the required UVH rank before entering each boss challenge.
Travel to each listed boss and defeat it; confirm its challenge progress updates.
Open the challenge list again and identify the rank’s guaranteed Wildcard mission.
Complete that Wildcard and collect its reward to unlock the next rank’s objectives.
At UVH Rank 4, clear the required Primordial Vault challenges before attempting Rank 5.
Farming tips
Track one objective at a time in the challenge menu so you can distinguish required fights from optional farming.
Use Vault clears for both their permanent power-up and progression toward the Rank 5 requirement.
Repeat, collect and use
Progression is rank-gated and finite through the listed rank challenges. Boss fights and Wildcards can be repeated, but rank unlocks occur only as each objective set is completed.
Common mistakes
Fighting bosses at the wrong UVH rank: verify the required rank in the challenge list before starting.
Assuming a Wildcard is optional for rank progress: complete the rank’s guaranteed mission when it is listed.
Skipping Rank 4 Vault objectives: these clears are required on the path to UVH5.
When to stop or switch
Stop when the next UVH rank unlocks or when your current build cannot reliably complete its required encounters; improve gear, then resume the tracked objectives.
