A repeatable early Depths clear can earn Haze from enemies while you explore, with branches and a boss providing a concrete route through the dungeon.

WHERE & HOW TO FARM
Where to farm
Den of Darkness Depths, entered by speaking with Davis at Home Base after obtaining its map from Shang at Outer Crossroads.
Use Den of Darkness to gather Haze through ordinary combat while learning the Depths layout. This method does not depend on an invasion event or a special payout: defeating enemies grants Haze, and the dungeon lets you explore its branches before opening the central boss route. It is most useful when you can clear the area without spending more healing than the Haze is worth. You can bank your haul by returning to Home Base, then spend it at a Mistle for levels or plan equipment purchases separately.
Visit Home Base for the first time and return to Shang at Outer Crossroads in Ruined City Underground for Map: Den of Darkness.
Deliver the map to Davis at Home Base to unlock the dungeon.
Bring a build able to handle the dungeon’s enemies and boss, with healing for the route.
Speak with Davis and select “Head to the Depths,” then choose Den of Darkness.
Start from the central Mistle and take one of the branching paths.
Defeat enemies along the branch and collect the Haze they leave behind.
Continue to the branch end to reveal its map area and face the miniboss there.
Return to the central area and explore the other branches for more enemies and their keys.
Use the collected keys to open the central route, then decide whether to challenge the boss for a full clear.
Return to Home Base with your Haze and spend it at a Mistle on levels or save it for a planned purchase.
Farming tips
Clear branches one at a time so you can retreat to the central Mistle if the route becomes unsafe.
Depths areas do not scale; if this dungeon is too difficult, come back after progressing your character or equipment.
Repeat, collect and use
Den of Darkness is replayable through Davis. Repeat the dungeon when its enemies remain manageable; Haze comes from defeating enemies, and no fixed total is guaranteed.
Common mistakes
Expecting a special invasion payout: this route earns Haze through ordinary enemy defeats, so keep clearing enemies if no event appears.
Pushing into every branch with low healing: return to the central Mistle and reset enemies if needed.
Treating collected Haze as safely banked inside the dungeon: return to Home Base to spend it before taking another risky run.
When to stop or switch
Stop the run and bank your Haze when the remaining branches or boss are costing too much healing; switch to a later progression area if Den of Darkness no longer feels worthwhile.
