A Crystal Lizard on the rocky passage behind the Skeleton Swordsman overlooking the bridge to High Lord Wolnir drops a Fire Gem. The lizard is a location-specific source, so the route is a limited hunt rather than a repeatable enemy farm. Collect the Gem before moving on, then use Andre’s infusion menu to apply it. Fire infusion removes Strength and Dexterity scaling, so consider the weapon’s role and your build first.

How to farm

Before you go

Reach the Catacombs of Carthus and the route overlooking the Wolnir bridge.
Bring a quick attack to stop the Crystal Lizard escaping.
Have a weapon in mind for a Fire infusion.
Reach Andre to use the collected Gem.

Proceed through the Catacombs toward the bridge to High Lord Wolnir.
Locate the Skeleton Swordsman overlooking the bridge and inspect the rocky passage behind it.
Find the Crystal Lizard and attack promptly before it flees.
Collect the Fire Gem and check inventory to confirm the drop.
If the lizard escapes, reload the area and return to retry the encounter.
At Firelink Shrine, speak with Andre and review the Fire infusion result for your weapon.
Apply the Gem only if the fire damage and removal of Strength and Dexterity scaling suit your plan.

Farming tips

A Fire Gem is an infusion material, not Titanite for reinforcement; Andre uses it to change weapon properties.
The lizard’s drop is location-specific, so do not substitute another lizard without confirming its reward.

Repeat, collect and use

This lizard is a limited location-specific pickup. If it escapes, reload the area and retry; the Gem is consumed on infusion.

Common mistakes

Looking on the bridge itself: the lizard is on the rocky path behind the Skeleton Swordsman.
Expecting a Fire Gem from each lizard: only the named source is supported for this route.
Assuming Fire infusion retains physical scaling: review the infusion description before applying it.

When to stop or switch

Stop after collecting the Fire Gem or after deciding to save it; continue to a different infusion route if your weapon plan needs scaling instead.
