WHERE & HOW TO FARM
Where to farm
Nephalem Rifts opened at the town Nephalem Obelisk in Reaper of Souls Adventure Mode.
For repeatable Death’s Breath farming, run level 70 Adventure Mode Nephalem Rifts and prioritize elite packs. Rift Guardians can also drop the material; Greater Rift Guardians do not. Choose the highest difficulty your character can clear at a brisk pace, since a tougher setting that slows each run can reduce the number of elites you reach.
A level 70 character with Adventure Mode unlocked.
A build and difficulty combination that clears elite packs quickly without frequent deaths.
In town, open the Nephalem Obelisk and choose a Nephalem Rift.
Move through the rift looking for elite packs, including champions and rare monsters.
Kill elites promptly and collect their drops, including Death’s Breath when it appears.
Continue through the rift until the Rift Guardian appears, then defeat it and check its drops.
If you need more general loot or Death’s Breath, keep clearing useful areas after the Guardian rather than leaving immediately.
Return to town, salvage unwanted equipment at the Blacksmith, and open another rift.
Farming tips
Sage’s Journey can increase Death’s Breath drops when its set bonus is active; it can also benefit from the follower’s emanating set bonus.
Rift difficulty and build speed both matter: lower the setting if elite packs take too long or threaten the run.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat Nephalem Rifts as long as you need Death’s Breath; this is a renewable activity with no fixed completion limit.
Common mistakes
Running Greater Rifts for this material: their Guardians do not drop Death’s Breath. Switch to regular Nephalem Rifts.
Clearing every ordinary enemy while skipping elites: elites are the main targets. Prioritize them, then decide whether extra clearing is worthwhile.
Keeping unwanted drops in inventory: salvage usable clutter between runs so you can continue collecting and turn gear into crafting materials.
When to stop or switch
Stop when you have enough Death’s Breath for the Cube or artisan costs you plan to pay, or switch to bounties if your limiting ingredient is an Act-specific bounty material.
