Planning around a specific Cube recipe helps you collect the right materials from the activity that produces them and avoid spending scarce stock on unrelated recipes.

WHERE & HOW TO FARM
Where to farm
Kanai’s Cube in Adventure Mode, obtained in the Ruins of Sescheron in Act III; gather inputs through Act bounties, Nephalem Rifts, and salvaging at the Blacksmith.
Kanai’s Cube draws on different farming loops. Bounties produce the five distinct Act materials used by Cube recipes such as Reforge Legendary, while Nephalem Rifts provide Death’s Breath and gear to salvage for Forgotten Souls and common crafting materials. Pick the recipe and target item first, then farm only the inputs still missing. This is a collection and processing plan rather than a separate drop source: materials are gathered in their normal activities and spent at the Cube in Adventure Mode.
Adventure Mode access and Kanai’s Cube retrieved from the Ruins of Sescheron.
A named Cube recipe and target item to work toward.
Access to bounty boards and a build that can clear Nephalem Rifts efficiently.
Choose the Cube recipe you intend to use and inspect its ingredient list at the Cube.
Count your current materials and write down which ingredients are missing.
For Act materials, select the corresponding Act and complete all five listed bounties to earn its Horadric Cache.
Collect the cache from Tyrael and open it; repeat the Act bounty set for each distinct Act material needed.
Run Nephalem Rifts for Death’s Breath and gear drops, then return to town.
Salvage unwanted items at the Blacksmith: normal items yield Reusable Parts, magic items Arcane Dust, rare items Veiled Crystals, and non-crafted Legendary or Set items Forgotten Souls.
When the planned ingredients are ready, place the target item and required materials in the Cube and use the selected recipe.
Farming tips
For Reforge Legendary, track all five Act materials and Forgotten Souls; for other recipes, use the ingredient list shown by the Cube.
Rift Guardians can drop Death’s Breath, while Greater Rift Guardians do not; use regular rifts when that input is needed.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat bounty sets, regular Nephalem Rifts, and salvage runs until you have the ingredients for the next planned transmutation. Cube recipes consume their inputs, so this is an ongoing collection loop.
Common mistakes
Farming a single Act for a recipe that needs several Act materials: check the full recipe and collect each required type.
Salvaging needed gear before checking your recipe target: keep the item you plan to transform or reforge.
Running Greater Rifts for Death’s Breath: use regular Nephalem Rifts for that material.
When to stop or switch
Stop gathering when the recipe’s displayed ingredients are in hand and perform the transmutation; switch to a different activity if the recipe no longer advances your current build goal.
