WHERE & HOW TO FARM
Where to farm
Inside an airtight room on a powered base or vessel, with grow plots placed in the interior.
Build an enclosed growing space, install plots and powered grow lights, then keep the room’s conditions suitable for the planted crops. For nonbreathable environments, the cited farming guide describes adding a ventilator and oxygen supply.
Powered grow lights; ventilator and stored oxygen if the environment is nonbreathable
Choose an interior location where you can maintain suitable growing conditions.
Build the room with blocks and a door that the game identifies as airtight.
Place grow plots inside the enclosed space.
Plant the vegetable seeds or sprouts in the plots.
Install grow lights above the plots and connect them to the structure’s power.
If the environment is nonbreathable, install a ventilator and provide stored oxygen.
Check that the room remains powered and suitable for growth, then harvest mature crops and collect their output.
Farming tips
A sealed room and appropriate temperature support growth; do not assume an exposed plot will behave like a greenhouse.
Keep spare seeds or sprouts accessible so harvested plots can be replanted.
Repeat, collect and use
After each harvest, collect the vegetables and replant available seeds or sprouts in the plots. Repeat while you can maintain suitable conditions and have planting stock.
Common mistakes
Leaving gaps or using a non-airtight door: build a properly enclosed room and verify the structure.
Forgetting power to the grow lights: keep the structure powered and check the lights if growth is not progressing.
Omitting ventilation in a nonbreathable environment: add a ventilator and oxygen supply where needed.
When to stop or switch
Stop expanding the greenhouse when your food needs are covered by its harvest capacity, or pause planting if you cannot maintain power or suitable growing conditions.
