How to farm

Before you go

Mothership or suitable powered vessel interior
Grow plots
Seeds or sprouts for the chosen crops
Grow lights and power, with a suitable climate

Choose an interior area on the vessel where plots can be placed and maintained.
Install grow plots and bring seeds or sprouts before leaving a source of planting stock.
Add appropriate grow lights and ensure the vessel has power for the growing equipment.
Plant the chosen crop in an available plot.
Check the growing environment and adjust equipment or location if conditions are unsuitable.
Keep the vessel’s systems operating while crops grow.
Harvest the mature plants, collect the food, and replant available stock in open plots.

Repeat, collect and use

Repeat by harvesting and replanting while you have planting stock, working plots, power, and suitable conditions. A harvest is not guaranteed if crops cannot grow in the vessel’s environment.
