WHERE & HOW TO FARM
Where to farm
Search shelves and containers in toolboxes, garages, factories, and offices as you explore.
Duct tape and wonderglue are junk items that contribute adhesive when broken down. Scavenging them adds crafting material to an ordinary exploration trip, especially when you tag adhesive so relevant items are easier to identify. This is a loot-based supply method: it depends on what you find, so pair it with vegetable starch when you need a dependable renewable source.
Have access to a workbench or settlement workshop where junk can be processed.
Tag adhesive in the component view if you want relevant items highlighted.
Open your component view and tag adhesive before leaving a settlement.
Visit interiors you already have a reason to explore, checking shelves and containers as you move through them.
Take duct tape and wonderglue when found, along with other junk whose component listing includes adhesive.
Check your carry weight periodically and avoid keeping unrelated heavy loot that blocks further scavenging.
Return to a connected workshop or use the available crafting interface to break down the junk.
Confirm the adhesive is in your component stock before beginning a weapon or armor modification.
Spend the recovered adhesive on the planned mod, then resume scavenging if supplies run low.
Farming tips
Tagging a component helps turn incidental exploration into a targeted collection run.
Compare the component listing before hauling bulky junk; an item that does not contain adhesive may not be worth the weight.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat during any exploration trip and process the collected junk when convenient. The supply is limited by encountered loot and does not guarantee a particular amount per route.
Common mistakes
Expecting every toolbox to contain adhesive junk wastes time; search broadly and treat each find as a bonus.
Carrying every object back can fill inventory quickly; prioritize items with the components you need.
Leaving adhesive untagged can make useful junk easy to overlook; set the component tag before the run.
When to stop or switch
Stop when your adhesive stock covers the next planned upgrade or when your carry capacity is needed for more valuable loot.
