WHERE & HOW TO FARM

Where to farm

Natural surface and cave growth across the biomes where each plant occurs.

Many plants grow naturally across biomes, and some are useful as direct ingredients rather than farm crops. Gather mushrooms and unfamiliar plants during exploration, paying attention to flowers that provide seeds and plants used in potion crafting, such as Caveglow, Firemone and Iceblossom. Keep useful finds in storage until a recipe calls for them. Only cultivate plants that provide seeds and have a repeatable use; decorative or nonrenewable discoveries do not need a dedicated farm plot.

GET STARTED

How to farm

Before you go

  • Access to the areas where the target plants grow.
  • Inventory space for gathered plants and seeds.
  • Storage to separate ingredients from general materials.
  1. Explore accessible surfaces and caves while watching for mushrooms, flowers and other natural plants.
  2. Gather unfamiliar plants and note where you found them.
  3. Collect flower seeds when they drop and keep them apart from the plant ingredients.
  4. Store potion materials such as Caveglow, Firemone or Iceblossom for recipes that need them.
  5. Check your available recipes before deciding which plants to consume or preserve.
  6. Plant seed-bearing useful varieties in Farmland when a renewable home supply is worthwhile.
  7. Use surplus ingredients in cooking or crafting rather than carrying them indefinitely.

Farming tips

  • Keep rare or unfamiliar ingredients until you have checked recipes; use common surplus first.
  • A natural plant is not necessarily a crop, so do not reserve plot space until you have seeds and a use.

Repeat, collect and use

Wild gathering can be repeated by exploring areas where plants occur; cultivation is repeatable only for varieties with usable seeds.

Common mistakes

  • Assuming every plant can be farmed: first confirm that it provides seeds suitable for planting.
  • Using potion ingredients as ordinary food: store them for their crafting role.
  • Farming decorative plants without a purpose: reserve fields for useful, seed-bearing varieties.

When to stop or switch

Stop gathering a plant when its stored quantity covers the recipes you plan to make; resume when a recipe or new need consumes it.
