WHERE & HOW TO FARM
Where to farm
A Ranch Garden plot growing Heart Beets, with a Rock Slime corral nearby for feeding and plort collection.
Turn a Ranch Garden into a steady food source for Rock Slimes. Heart Beet is their favorite vegetable, so a reliable harvest helps keep a corral producing Rock Plorts. This is an ongoing ranch production loop: plant, harvest, feed, collect plorts, then replant. Keep enough of each harvest for the next feeding pass instead of using the entire crop at once.
Rock Slimes in a corral, with room to collect their plorts.
A plan to keep some harvested Heart Beets available for the next feeding.
Choose a Ranch plot for a Garden and make sure you have Heart Beet planting stock.
Plant the Heart Beet in the Garden and allow it to mature.
Harvest the crop when it is ready.
Set aside a portion for the next Rock Slime feeding before using or storing the rest.
Bring the reserved vegetables to the Rock Slime corral and feed the slimes.
Vacuum up the Rock Plorts they produce; keep recipe quantities aside or sell surplus at the Plort Market.
Replant the Garden with available planting stock or obtain more before the next growing cycle.
Farming tips
Rock Slimes favor Heart Beets, so prioritize them for feeding when you want additional plorts.
Keep food and plort reserves separate so a sale or recipe plan does not consume the next feeding supply.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat the garden harvest and feeding cycle while you can replant Heart Beets and maintain the corral. Collect plorts after each feeding and decide whether to reserve or sell them.
Common mistakes
Using the full harvest immediately: keep some Heart Beets for the next feeding cycle.
Assuming planting returns seed stock: retain planting stock or obtain more before the plot is empty.
Selling every Rock Plort: hold back the amount your planned Slime Science recipes require.
When to stop or switch
Pause or switch crops when the Rock Plort reserve meets your recipe or sale goal, or when you need the Garden for another food supply.
