Pink Plorts

A dependable early-game source of Newbucks and a useful reserve for Slime Science recipes.

WHERE & HOW TO FARM

Where to farm

Pink Slimes in the Dry Reef or a ranch corral; sell their plorts at the Plort Market on the Ranch.

Pink Slimes are easy to feed because they eat any food. This makes their plorts a practical first ranch output: sell the surplus for Newbucks while setting aside any amount a current gadget recipe needs. A small, steady setup works better than filling every corral before you can feed it.

GET STARTED

How to farm

Before you go

  • A corral and a source of food; Pink Slimes eat any food.
  • Access to the Plort Market; a Garden is useful for a renewable food supply.
  1. Vacuum up Pink Slimes in the Dry Reef and bring them back to the Ranch.
  2. Put a manageable group in a corral, leaving room for food and collected plorts.
  3. Feed them surplus crops or forage. You do not need to reserve a favorite crop for Pink Slimes.
  4. Vacuum the Pink Plorts they produce and check the Lab recipe book for any needed stock.
  5. Take the remaining plorts to the Plort Market and load them into its collector for Newbucks.
  6. Use the proceeds toward ranch needs or Slime Science, then replenish food before the corral runs low.

Farming tips

  • Plant a crop in a Garden if you want food close to the corral; harvest it when mature.
  • Keep a small recipe reserve before selling, especially when starting a new gadget project.

Repeat, collect and use

Repeat the feeding and collection cycle as long as you maintain the corral; plort sales are ongoing, while each recipe reserve is consumed when used.

Common mistakes

  • Feeding more slimes than you can supply: start with a group sized to your available food and expand later.
  • Selling every plort: check the Lab recipe book first and reserve the amount your planned gadget requires.
  • Using a premium favorite crop on Pink Slimes: feed them surplus food and save favorite crops for slimes that benefit from them.

When to stop or switch

Stop expanding the corral when you cannot keep it fed or collected; switch surplus food to another slime’s favorite crop if you want more efficient plort production.
