Fall planting can provide a strong final outdoor harvest before Winter and supply progression items. Timing matters because most crops do not survive the season transition.

WHERE & HOW TO FARM
Where to farm
Tilled farm plots during Fall; Pierre’s General Store is a common seed source.
Use the remaining Fall days deliberately: plant crops that can mature, maintain regrowing plants, and collect all harvests before the first day of Winter.

How to farm
Before you go
Fall seeds suited to the remaining calendar.
Prepared tilled soil and daily watering access.
Storage space for harvests that are needed for bundles, quests, or processing.
Check the current date and each crop’s growth time before buying Fall seeds.
Prepare the field with the Hoe, add fertilizer if useful, plant seeds, and water them on the planting day.
Water daily. Crops that miss a watering pause growth, so maintain a routine or cover plots with sprinklers.
Harvest crops when ready. Leave Cranberries and other regrowing crops planted and watered for further harvests.
Keep any produce needed for bundles, requests, recipes, gifts, or machines before selling extra items.
On Fall 28, collect mature crops and clear unwanted plants as needed for Winter field preparation.
At the start of Winter, remove dead seasonal plants with a Scythe if you want the plots cleared.
Farming tips
A crop’s listed growth time excludes the planting day; leave enough nights for it to finish before the season changes.
Pumpkins planted in a 3-by-3 arrangement can sometimes form a giant crop if the required crops are mature and watered; the outcome is not guaranteed.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat each Fall with a fresh seed plan. Regrowing crops can yield repeatedly while watered and in season; most other crops provide one harvest per planting.
Common mistakes
Planting based only on the seed purchase and ignoring the current date; verify the crop can mature before Fall ends.
Forgetting a regrowing crop after its first harvest; continue watering it for later harvests.
Leaving a required bundle crop in the shipping bin; reserve progression items before selling.
When to stop or switch
Stop sowing when the remaining days are shorter than a crop’s growth window; use the time for harvests, processing, or Winter preparation.
