Spring Crops

Spring planting supplies early income, food, and items for progression. A plan that fits the season avoids losing crops at the change to Summer.

WHERE & HOW TO FARM

Where to farm

Tilled fields on the Standard Farm during Spring; Pierre’s General Store sells common Spring seeds.

Choose Spring seeds for the days remaining, keep crops watered, and set aside produce needed for bundles, requests, meals, or future planting before shipping the surplus.

GET STARTED

How to farm

Before you go

  • Spring seeds from Pierre’s or another valid source.
  • Hoe and Watering Can, or sprinklers covering the planted tiles.
  • Open farm plots and enough time before Spring 28 to mature the chosen crops.
  1. Check the season and count the days left before buying seeds. Compare that window with each crop’s growth time; planting day does not count as a growth night.
  2. Hoe the chosen plots, apply any fertilizer, plant seeds individually, and water them the same day.
  3. Water unautomated crops daily. An unwatered crop pauses growth; it does not die merely because it missed a day.
  4. Harvest mature crops promptly. Keep regrowing plants in place and continue watering them for later harvests.
  5. Set aside any crop needed for a bundle, quest, recipe, gift, or seed reserve before selling the rest.
  6. Before the season changes, collect ready harvests. Seasonal crops left in the field wither when Spring ends.

Farming tips

  • Parsnips and potatoes can suit shorter windows; cauliflower takes longer, so check the calendar before planting it.
  • A 3-by-3 cauliflower planting can sometimes become a giant crop when the required crops are fully grown and watered; treat this as a chance, not a promised yield.

Repeat, collect and use

Repeat each Spring by buying and planting seeds for the remaining days. Harvest once for single-harvest crops; keep eligible multi-harvest crops watered until the season ends.

Common mistakes

  • Planting by the listed growth-day count without allowing for the planting day; count the required nights after planting.
  • Selling every harvest and later discovering a bundle or request needs one; reserve known progression items first.
  • Planting trellis crops in a solid block that prevents reaching interior tiles; leave access lanes before sowing them.

When to stop or switch

Stop planting when the crop cannot mature before Spring ends, or switch to gathering, fishing, or clearing fields as the season change approaches.
