Mining Ores

Ore supports tool upgrades, machines, and farm infrastructure. Targeting appropriate Mine floors and using elevator checkpoints makes resource runs easier to resume.

WHERE & HOW TO FARM

Where to farm

The Mines in the north of the Mountains, accessible after the early landslide is cleared.

Enter the Mines with a pickaxe and supplies, descend through rock floors, and focus on ore nodes suited to the materials you need.

GET STARTED

How to farm

Before you go

  • Pickaxe in usable condition.
  • Access to the Mines after the landslide opens the entrance.
  • Food and combat gear for a sustained trip.
  1. Enter the Mines from the Mountains once the entrance is accessible.
  2. Choose a floor band using the elevator progress you have already unlocked and the ore tier you need.
  3. Break visible ore nodes with the Pickaxe; the type and amount of ore generally increase with depth.
  4. Clear rocks or defeat enemies to reveal a ladder, then descend when continuing the run is worthwhile.
  5. Use elevator checkpoints to return to a known depth on a later visit rather than restarting from the top.
  6. Carry food and combat equipment, and leave when health, time, or inventory space makes continuing impractical.
  7. At home, smelt gathered ore into bars for crafting and upgrades that support the farm.

Farming tips

  • Match the floor depth to your target material instead of wandering without a resource goal.
  • Bring enough food to recover during combat-heavy sections and keep inventory room for ore.

Repeat, collect and use

Repeat mining trips as needed. Ore nodes and floor outcomes vary; elevator progress provides reusable access to reached checkpoints.

Common mistakes

  • Entering without a pickaxe or useful food; prepare before committing to a run.
  • Staying on shallow floors when seeking deeper ore tiers; descend through unlocked floors toward the relevant depth.
  • Filling inventory with low-priority items; leave space for the materials you came to collect.

When to stop or switch

Leave when you have the needed ore, your supplies are low, or the remaining time is better spent smelting and crafting.
