Kindlevine Stems provide a useful early fuel output and can be produced through an automated crop and Thresher loop.

WHERE & HOW TO FARM
Where to farm
Kindlevine patches for the initial seed and stem supply, followed by a Planter and Thresher setup on the factory floor.
Start with hand-harvested Kindlevine, then move to Planters and a Thresher after unlocking the machines. The Thresher produces both seeds and stems, so the line needs separate routing: return seeds to sustain planting and send stems to the fuel consumer. This supports a practical early fuel stock without assuming unlisted output rates.
Kindlevine patches and harvested plants for initial processing.
Planter and Thresher unlocked.
Kindlevine Seed for crop production.
A Filter Inserter or separate output routing and a fuel buffer.
Harvest Kindlevine by hand and collect the plant output for the initial run.
Feed harvested Kindlevine into a Thresher to produce seed and Kindlevine Stems.
Place Planters and supply them with Kindlevine Seed and their listed inputs.
Connect the Planters’ crop output to the Thresher so stems and new seed are produced continuously.
Use a Filter Inserter or separate routes to send seed back to the Planter supply and stems to a dedicated buffer.
Connect the stem buffer to the fuel consumer you currently operate, and watch for a rising or falling stock.
Add crop capacity only if the fuel consumer regularly empties the stem buffer.
Farming tips
The campaign guide prioritizes Kindlevine for early fuel production; keep the stem route reliable before diverting output elsewhere.
A belt balancer is suggested in the guide for dividing seed output when multiple planters need supply.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat through the Planter-to-Thresher loop while seeds and inputs are available. The line requires ongoing crop production and output space; harvested patches are not a guaranteed infinite source.
Common mistakes
Routing stems to planters: seeds are the planting input, while stems serve other uses such as fuel.
Failing to separate Thresher outputs: filter the mixed stream before it reaches consumers.
Expanding without enough seed return: stabilize the seed loop before adding planters.
When to stop or switch
Stop scaling when the stem buffer sustains the current fuel demand; expand the crop line only if that reserve repeatedly runs low.
