Farm Light Zone Named Bosses for Randomized Gear

Light Zone named bosses provide a repeatable chance at Classified pieces and Exotics alongside ordinary loot. Use this route when you want to check several named spawns without spending event currency or Target Intel.

WHERE & HOW TO FARM

Where to farm

Named enemy spawn locations across Manhattan’s Light Zone. Use the map and your knowledge of cleared districts to plan a practical route between spawns.

This is a broad gear hunt, not a targeted set farm: named enemies can drop valuable items, but their drops are randomized. Plan a circuit that visits named-spawn locations you can reach safely, defeat each boss, and inspect the drops before moving on. Treat every piece as a chance rather than a promised reward, and compare the time and risk with other endgame activities available to you.

GET STARTED

How to farm

Before you go

  • Level 30 and access to the Light Zone endgame.
  • A loadout suited to the enemy difficulty in the districts you plan to visit.
  • Inventory space for drops and a plan for storing or dismantling unwanted gear.
  1. Open the Manhattan map and choose several named-spawn locations you can travel between without detouring through content you do not want to run.
  2. Set out from a safe location and travel to the first selected spawn, watching for nearby hostile groups.
  3. Engage the named enemy from cover and clear supporting enemies that prevent a safe approach.
  4. Collect the boss’s drops and inspect them before leaving the area.
  5. Continue to the next selected spawn and repeat the encounter and loot check.
  6. After the circuit, compare useful pieces against your current build; store upgrades and dismantle or discard items that do not help.
  7. Plan another circuit later if the randomized drops have not produced useful gear.

Farming tips

  • Keep the route flexible: skip a spawn if its approach is unsafe or the encounter would interrupt a more valuable activity.
  • Classified and Exotic drops are possible, not guaranteed; judge the route by the gear you actually collect.

Repeat, collect and use

Repeat the circuit as desired, choosing named spawns that remain practical to reach. Boss drops are randomized, and the route has no guaranteed item or set completion.

Common mistakes

  • Treating a named boss as a guaranteed source of a specific item; collect and assess whatever drops instead.
  • Fighting every nearby group while exposed; use cover and clear only enemies that threaten the encounter.
  • Filling inventory with every drop; make room and keep only items that support a build or collection goal.

When to stop or switch

Stop or switch activities when the circuit produces no useful upgrades, the remaining approaches are too risky, or another endgame activity better matches the gear you need.
