Underground operations grant rank experience, and each Underground rank-up awards a cache containing two High-End or Gear Set items. This makes rank progress a repeatable way to collect endgame gear while running the expansion’s missions.

Where to farm
The Underground entrance in the Terminal beneath the Base of Operations. Select an operation from the Underground activity interface.
Choose an Underground operation, complete its objectives, and build Underground rank through repeated runs. Each rank-up supplies an Underground Cache; open it and assess the two items for your build. Operations can include phases and directives, so use the options that fit your ability and available time. This route is tied to the Underground expansion and does not guarantee a particular item or set piece.

Level 30 access to endgame Underground operations.
A loadout suited to the selected difficulty and any chosen directives.
Inventory space to review cache rewards.
Enter the Underground activity interface in the Terminal and review the available operation choices.
Select an operation and choose a difficulty and any directives you are prepared to handle.
Follow the operation’s displayed objectives through its phases, clearing enemies that block progress.
Complete the operation and collect its available rewards, then check your Underground rank progress.
Launch another suitable operation and repeat until you gain a rank and receive its Underground Cache.
Open the cache from your inventory and compare both items with your current gear.
Keep useful pieces, store items for alternate builds, and dismantle unwanted gear before the next run.
Farming tips
Pick difficulty and directives you can complete consistently; faster, reliable progress is more useful than an operation that repeatedly stalls.
Track rank progress between runs so you can decide whether another operation is likely to reach the next cache.

Underground operations are repeatable. Continue completing operations to gain rank; each rank-up awards one cache with two High-End or Gear Set items, but the contents are not targeted to a particular piece.
