Where to farm

Shrines and Waystone Altars encountered along the Chaos Wastes pilgrimage.

Chaos Wastes shrines offer boons in exchange for Pilgrim’s Coins. A boon affects the current Expedition rather than becoming a permanent hero upgrade. Because shrine offers and costs can differ, inspect the actual option and compare it with the run’s needs before spending. Coins can also buy weapons or other favour, so a purchase should support the party’s route rather than consume currency automatically.

How to farm

Before you go

Start an active Chaos Wastes Expedition.
Collect Pilgrim’s Coins from the landscape or eligible loot rat drops.
Know which part of the current run build would benefit from a boon.

Follow the pilgrimage route until a shrine with boon options appears.
Approach the shrine and inspect the available boon and its displayed price.
Read the effect and consider whether it benefits your character or team’s current build.
Compare the boon with other uses for the group’s remaining coins.
Purchase the boon if its effect and cost suit the run.
Review the active build after the purchase so the team understands the new effect.
Continue collecting coins and reassess at later shrines.

Farming tips

Do not buy solely because coins are available; the boon must be useful enough to justify its cost.
Keep in mind that shrine boons and currency reset with the Expedition and do not alter campaign talents.

Repeat, collect and use

Repeat when a shrine offers a boon you can afford and want. Purchases are limited to the active Expedition and do not produce a persistent stock.

Common mistakes

Confusing a boon with a permanent unlock; it supports only the current Wastes run.
Ignoring the effect text; inspect the offer before purchasing.
Spending every coin early; leave room for later weapon or boon choices.
