WHERE & HOW TO FARM
Where to farm
Chaos Wastes Expedition maps and route nodes reached through Holseher’s Map.
Pilgrim’s Coins are temporary Chaos Wastes currency. They are found along expedition maps and spent at shrines for weapons, boons, and other favour. Coins do not become campaign currency or carry over as a lasting stock between expeditions, so their value comes from converting them into useful power during the current pilgrimage. Patch 6.6 also added coin drops from loot rats, giving teams another encounter-based opportunity.
Stay alert for coin caskets along the path and loot rats during encounters.
Have a plan to spend collected coins at shrines before the expedition ends.
Start the Expedition and move together along the selected pilgrimage route.
Scan the path and nearby side areas for visible coin caskets as the team advances.
Collect coins from caskets rather than leaving them behind when the detour is safe.
When loot rats appear, defeat them and collect any Pilgrim’s Coins they drop.
Track the group’s available currency as you reach shrine opportunities.
Spend coins on a weapon, boon, or other available favour that supports the run.
Continue collecting and spending while progressing through the expedition.
Farming tips
A short detour is useful only if the party can rejoin the route safely; avoid scattering during dangerous fights.
Remember the coins decay outside the Wastes in game fiction and are run currency in practice: spend them during this Expedition.
Repeat, collect and use
Repeat on every Expedition. Currency resets between runs, so there is no persistent coin collection to build.
Common mistakes
Saving every coin until the end; unspent currency has no campaign use after the Expedition.
Treating coins as a permanent inventory material; they apply only to the active Wastes run.
Searching side paths while the party is under pressure; secure the team before exploring.
When to stop or switch
Stop searching when the route or encounter makes the detour unsafe; resume collecting at the next safe opportunity and spend remaining coins before the run concludes.
