WHERE & HOW TO FARM

Where to farm

Lafargue’s Grandmaster workshop in Beauclair, Toussaint, with a smith available for deconstruction when required.

Grandmaster equipment is a crafting project with two kinds of inputs: materials that can be purchased from Lafargue and monster-related components that may require deconstruction. Once you have chosen a school and collected its diagrams, use the workshop recipes as a shopping and gathering list. Buy the components that are available from the smith, preserve monster parts until you know which recipe needs them, and deconstruct only the parts that produce a missing ingredient. This method does not create materials from nothing; it converts existing stock and crowns into a specific set of gear. Blood and Wine is required, and level 40 is needed to equip Grandmaster pieces.

GET STARTED

How to farm

Before you go

  • Own Blood and Wine and reach Toussaint.
  • Have the Grandmaster diagrams for the pieces you intend to craft.
  • Bring crowns for purchasable components and deconstruction costs.
  • Collect monster parts through contracts and exploration for recipe-specific components.
  1. Select the Grandmaster school set and pieces you actually intend to equip.
  2. At Lafargue’s workshop, inspect the recipe for each selected piece and note every missing component.
  3. Buy available materials from Lafargue rather than searching for items that are sold there.
  4. Mark monster-related components that the recipes still require and compare them against your inventory.
  5. Ask a smith to deconstruct only the monster part that yields a needed component.
  6. Recheck each recipe after purchasing and deconstructing to confirm which gaps remain.
  7. Return to Lafargue with diagrams and completed material lists, then craft the selected pieces.

Farming tips

  • Keep a small reserve of monster parts until you have checked every planned recipe; a part used too early may be needed elsewhere.
  • Fund the shopping list with saleable loot, but keep crowns earmarked for the set’s expensive inputs.

Repeat, collect and use

This preparation loop can be repeated for additional Grandmaster pieces when you obtain more diagrams and materials. Diagram hunts are one-time, while purchased and deconstructed ingredients are consumed by crafting.

Common mistakes

  • Do not buy materials before choosing pieces; Grandmaster inputs are expensive and recipes differ.
  • Do not assume all components are sold; some monster-related items must be deconstructed from other parts.
  • Do not deconstruct rare parts without checking the resulting component and the rest of your planned recipes.

When to stop or switch

Stop gathering once the selected recipes are complete and craft the gear; resume material collection only for another specific piece.
