WHERE & HOW TO FARM
Where to farm
The poison swamp at ground level in Blighttown, particularly the leeches toward the far side of the swamp.
Giant Leeches in the Blighttown poison swamp can drop Green Titanite Shards, which reinforce several elemental weapon paths. This route is especially useful when a weapon needs multiple shards and you would rather collect materials than buy them. The swamp slows movement and inflicts poison, so a Rusted Iron Ring makes traversal easier if you have it. Each leech drop is random; clear the group you can reach reliably, collect the materials, and return to the swamp bonfire before repeating.
Reach the lower Blighttown swamp and activate its bonfire or the nearby Great Hollow entrance bonfire.
Bring poison-curing items or enough healing to manage swamp exposure.
Use a weapon that can dispatch the leeches consistently.
Optional: equip the Rusted Iron Ring for easier movement through the swamp.
Rest at the swamp bonfire and equip the Rusted Iron Ring if available.
Leave the bonfire and move through the swamp toward the leech group on the far side.
Defeat the leeches, keeping track of poison buildup and health.
Inspect the drops and collect Green Titanite Shards that appear.
Return along the same route to the bonfire and rest to respawn the group.
Repeat until you have enough shards for the next Magic, Fire, or Divine upgrade step.
Farming tips
A Rusted Iron Ring reduces the movement burden in the swamp, making the return leg easier.
Green Titanite supports several upgrade branches; check which path your weapon is on before continuing to collect.
Repeat, collect and use
The leeches respawn after resting, so the enemy loop is repeatable. Green Titanite drops are not guaranteed from every kill.
Common mistakes
Ignoring poison buildup: monitor the status meter and cure poison or retreat before health becomes critical.
Running a long route without marking the return: use the bonfire as the clear endpoint for each pass.
Farming Green Titanite without a weapon plan: verify the required upgrade path and stop once the needed quantity is secured.
When to stop or switch
Stop when you have enough Green Titanite for the intended upgrade stage, or switch to a safer material source if swamp travel is costing too many healing resources.
