A row of traps near active rabbit holes can provide a repeatable supply of rabbit morsels with little need to chase prey.

Place traps over rabbit holes in grassland, check them before a caught rabbit escapes, collect the rabbit, and reset the traps. Bait is optional, so the basic route does not depend on spending food to catch prey. The result is morsel-sized meat for cooking or other food use. This is a routine to revisit, not a set-and-forget stockpile: traps need attention after catches and rabbits can escape if collection is delayed.
Repeat the placement, check, collection, and reset loop at active holes. Each catch requires another check and reset; this is renewable only while rabbits and usable traps remain available.
Stop checking once you have enough morsels for the next meals or recipe. Leave the traps in place and return when you need more, provided the holes remain active.
